Steven J. Bushnell is an associate at The Quinn Law Firm. His practice focuses on civil defense and representing municipalities and municipal employees in  federal Section 1983 claims. Steve has extensive experience litigating in state and federal court in New York City and Westchester County.

Steve helps manage the civil litigation team at the firm and handles all phases of litigation from pleadings and discovery, to motion practice, trial and  appeals. Steve leverages his exceptional written and oral advocacy skills to minimize his clients’ liability and exposure and has successfully litigated cases in United States  District Courts as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Steve also defends individuals in criminal cases at both the state and federal level.  In addition to civil and criminal defense, his practice also includes contract law, public sector labor law, and personal injury.

Steve received a B.S. degree in History and Political Science from the University of Scranton in 2006 and a J.D. from Catholic University- Columbus School of Law in 2009, with a certificate from the Comparative and International Law Institute.

He is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of New York, as well as before the United States District Court in the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
